Looking for a fun family day out in Lincolnshire? Our Kids Fishing Fun Fest is back for 2026, and we’re getting ready for a brilliant day by the lake.
Join us at Lincoln Lane Lakes on Saturday, 30th May, from 11 am until 5 pm, for a day full of fishing, family activities, food, fresh air and plenty of fun. Whether your child has never held a fishing rod before or already loves being by the water, this is a relaxed and friendly way to get involved.
A Family Day Out by the Lake
Kids Fishing Fun Fest has been created to give children and families the chance to enjoy the outdoors, try something new, and spend quality time together in a peaceful lakeside setting.
Entry to the event is free, with a small charge for some activities throughout the day. Families are welcome to come along, enjoy the atmosphere, bring a picnic, visit the food stalls and make a day of it.

Have a Go Fishing Sessions
One of the main parts of the day will be our Have a Go Fishing sessions.
These sessions are suitable for children aged 5 and above, as well as adults, so parents and grandparents are very welcome to join in too. No experience is needed, and tackle will be provided, making it a great opportunity for complete beginners to try fishing.
Sessions cost £5 per person and spaces are limited, so we recommend booking online in advance.
The Have a Go Fishing session times are:
Session 1: 11.30 am – FULLY BOOKED
Session 2: 1 pm
Session 3: 2.30 pm
Session 4: 4 pm
Fishing is a brilliant way to encourage patience, confidence, focus and time outdoors. It’s also a lovely screen-free activity that gives children the chance to slow down, learn a new skill and enjoy being close to nature.
Activities on the Day
Alongside the fishing sessions, there will be plenty of other activities to enjoy throughout the day.

Bouncy castle
Tombola
Giant inflatables
Toddler hook-a-fish pool
Fishy based crafts
Lucky dip
Frisbee Golf
Ice cream
And more
There will be something for younger children, older children and the grown-ups too, so it’s a great event for the whole family.
Food, Picnics and Lakeside Fun
Food stalls will be available on the day, so you’ll be able to grab something to eat while you’re here. You are also welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy it by the lake.
With peaceful views, plenty of fresh air and lots going on, Kids Fishing Fun Fest is a lovely way to spend a spring day outdoors in Lincolnshire.
Do You Need Fishing Experience?
Not at all.
The Have a Go Fishing sessions are designed to be friendly, relaxed and beginner-friendly. Tackle is provided, and the sessions are open to everyone from age 5 to adult.
If your child has always wanted to try fishing, this is the perfect chance to give it a go without needing to buy equipment first.
