Big News & Big Plans at Lincoln Lane Lakes

  • by

It’s been a little while since we last posted here, and for a very good reason… we got married! 💍🥂 After a busy (and very happy!) few months of planning, making and celebrations, we’re now back at it and ready to focus on some exciting developments here at the lakes.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us and enjoy fishing with us during this time – we’re so grateful for your patience, and we can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.

What’s Happening at Lincoln Lane Lakes?

Over the coming months, you’ll see lots of work going on around the site. Our aim has always been to create a relaxing, friendly and welcoming fishing venue in Lincolnshire, and these improvements will help us make Lincoln Lane Lakes even better for anglers, families, and those looking for a peaceful countryside break.

Lake Improvements

The heart of our site is, of course, the fishing lake. We’ll be carrying out essential work on the lake itself to keep it healthy and thriving. This includes tackling erosion, improving banks and pegs, and ensuring the fish stocks remain strong. Our lake is home to carp, tench, bream, roach and barbel (with some fish weighing up to 20lbs), and we’re committed to keeping it a fantastic spot for both coarse and carp fishing year-round.

Landscaping & Wildlife

We’re lucky to be located on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Part of our upcoming work involves landscaping the grounds and enhancing the surrounding woodland you drive and walk through as you enter the site. This will not only make Lincoln Lane Lakes more attractive for visitors but also create a better habitat for local wildlife – from birds and insects to small mammals.

Expect to see more trees, shrubs, and wild planting, all designed to blend with the natural environment and offer a tranquil backdrop for your fishing trip or countryside walk.

Renovating the Cabins & Static Caravans

One of the biggest projects we’re working on is the renovation of our cabins. These will soon be available to hire for short breaks and fishing holidays in Lincolnshire. Whether you’re after a two-night escape or a longer stay, our accommodation will be fully equipped for comfort, making it easy to relax, fish, and enjoy the great outdoors without giving up the home comforts you love.

We’re aiming to have these ready for guests by Spring 2026, giving you the chance to enjoy a proper Lincolnshire fishing holiday with lakeside views, peaceful surroundings, and fishing included.

The Perfect Base for Fishing & Exploring Lincolnshire

Staying at Lincoln Lane Lakes means you get the best of both worlds. On-site, you have a well-stocked fishing lake, peaceful woodlands, and a friendly atmosphere. Step just beyond the gates and you’re perfectly placed for exploring the Lincolnshire Wolds and walking the famous Viking Way, which runs close by.

We’re also just a few minutes’ drive from the local town of Market Rasen, where you’ll find everything you need – supermarkets, local shops, takeaways, and cosy pubs serving good food.

Looking Ahead

We’re so excited about the future of Lincoln Lane Lakes. Our vision is to create a place that combines good, honest fishing with comfortable, family-friendly accommodation, beautiful natural surroundings, and easy access to some of the best walking and countryside Lincolnshire has to offer.

We’ll be sharing updates right here, including progress on the renovations, news about our lake improvements, fishing reports, and tips for making the most of your visit.

Thank you again for your support during our little break – now that the wedding celebrations are behind us, it’s full steam ahead with developing Lincoln Lane Lakes into the ultimate fishing and holiday destination in Lincolnshire.

Stay tuned, and we look forward to welcoming you soon! 🎣🌿
